This is what I am afraid of

• We retain the right to use your mod idea and implement it ourselves in Minecraft. This is to prevent the situation where we have to avoid adding a feature just because there’s a mod out there that does something similar. It’s also great for dealing with bug fixes provided by the community.
• You can’t sell your mods or make money off them unless you’ve got a separate license deal with us

So...how, in the future, will my server contain uniqueness and have the ability to pay for itself?

Looking for programmers

Now that 1.5 has come out I feel that this is the best time to start programming core mods. Bukkit has done very well in providing me with good builds to use mods on. Unfortunately I need more than the every day programmer offers. I have multiple ideas for this server that require a higher programming than the ones offered on everyday Minecraft forums. (Thats not to say I won't deny you if you have made a well written or any mod at all). I need planes, new blocks, web-to-game synchronization, true map generators, and more. I want to take this game and make it the best it can be. Your benefits? There is good profit in the web my friend and its more than just giant towers //set to diamond. If you would like to talk to me about this leave a comment or email me at sfxworks@gmail.com (Yes this is a mailTo link so unless you run your email on your computer and not through a browser don't click this). I am currently programming an installer that adds and modifies any client-side files necessary in order for players to have what they need to play on my server. It should be done in a few days.

In the mean time bukkit announced that they are currently working on a build for 1.5 and it should be done within the day. I'll keep you posted.

DO NOT UPDATE

Until bukkit comes out with a build that works with 1.5 do not update your minecraft. The next build should come out sometime tomorrow.

Status Update

Iron City's South West Station is just about finished. You can take routes out into the west. Still haven't set the speed for back IN the station though...So dont worry about catching mine carts going at about 200% speed.

The planes mod doesn't currently work with the server. SkyPirates has been installed instead. no where near as good as the planes mod but hey its a flying boat.

We are almost done with our 5 cities. That means the website will launch soon and this will go fully public! Thanks for following guys give yourselves a hand.

Under construction, but made lots of progress today.

Our old one only took you west (to cloudcroft, the rest area, and the nature zone) and south (to nowhere)

THIS one will take you all directions! Iron City will now be the center city. Accepting transit from all locations.

Also, Two Stations will be in Iron City. East side and West side. O,0 choose your building plot wisely.

Hope you guys will enjoy the ride.

PS Minecarts are getting a speed buff. 300% The standard speed making rides 3 times as fast!!

Late night permissions fail...

It failed.

You will still (unfortunately) get that annoying little error message when you place a block. Workin hard to fix it though! (might just take up the effort to program it)

ps I got in this interesting conversation with an admin on a different server. He talked about how working hard and actually mining out the minerals was better and that just spawning and giving items was cheeting o.0. So I ask you do you think thats how it should have been from the start instead? Personally I don't because you don't get to enjoy what you make because it takes forever looking for it. But I want you all to vote on it.

ADDING WEATHER

Im preparing ahead of time for any mods that might not work...hopefully they all will.

A new area has been established!

Well. After a day of work I made an underground tunnel. Where? To the new world. The new biome I installed generates an ENTIRELY new environment. So why not make a train to it? Underground one...that is.

Time to ride is 5 minutes...and thats going max speed. COME AND RIDE IT GUYS

Updates.

I brought my computer with me on my trip to (place I cannot say because creepers creep and go ssssss). Im at a hotel with internet. Ill update the IP to use but their might be some connection issues. Will test addons. Applying new features for anti-griefing. Setting permissions. Finishing website and user login.

What a good day to do it to.

The entire server. Holes in the ground. Fire spread. Lava everywhere. No fire protection addons enabled. Tnt launched.

Oh and the guilty players have been banned.

Unfortunately when I did that the lava blocks also recovered. So Ill have the server back up when the World Guard addon is complete. Sorry about this guys but its the only think I can do.

Minecraft Update Day

Yesterday, Notch updated minecraft with a new...interesting feature. We now how tamable wolves that attack whatever you desire :P. I find it extremely interesting. Anyway, do to this some of the main mods will be down on the server. Unfortunately, that includes minecart mania. So no train stations. However, all protection and anti-grief mods are up. So don't do anything stupid :P
